iCal subscriptions now require a free "Free-Key"

20.03.2025

From now on, our popular web calendar requires a free Free-Key. This improves overall security and ensures uninterrupted usage for VPN users.

Subscription usage remains free and easy. You only need your email address – no registration required!

Important: Existing iCal subscriptions without a Free-Key will be deactivated from 01.05.2025. Please request your personal Free-Key in time!

What changes for you?

  • Personal Free-Key: Each user gets an individual key for calendar access.
  • No hidden costs: Access remains free for up to 10 geographical units.
  • Save resources: Optimal use of resources to ensure availability.

Visit your municipality/place page and click the "iCal" tab to activate your subscription with your personal Free-Key.

Our API documentation has been revised and is now available in addition to the existing HTML format, also as an OpenAPI specification – in German, French, Italian, and English.

What's New?

  • Interactive usage via Swagger – Test API endpoints directly in the browser.
  • Postman Collection – Quick import for developers using Postman.
  • Better organization & structured OpenAPI documentation

Important: Technically, nothing changes! The API still works as usual – only the documentation has been improved.

Dear visitors,

We would like to inform you that we have deactivated Google advertising on our website. This decision was not easy for us, as advertising made up a significant part of our financing. However, the adverts were becoming increasingly intolerable and detracting from the user experience on our site.

We are trying to find alternative ways of financing in order to continue offering you high-quality content and services.

Thank you for your trust and loyalty.

Sincerely yours,

The team of Feiertagskalender.ch
